1. Introduction: The Feed the Future Uganda Youth Leadership for Agriculture Activity is a USAID program implemented by Chemonics International in Uganda. The goal of the Feed the Future Uganda Youth Leadership for Agriculture Activity Project is to increase economic opportunities for hundreds of thousands of Ugandan female and male youth ages 10 to 35 in agriculture-related fields in order to increase incomes and build entrepreneurship, leadership, and workforce readiness. As part of project activities, the Feed the Future Uganda Youth Leadership for Agriculture Activity seeks to procure and install a Hybrid Solar Drier and Hot Pepper Crusher for one of its grantees in Ibulanku, Bugweri District, Uganda. The purpose of this RFQ is to solicit quotations for procurement and installation of the Hybrid Solar Drier and Hot Pepper Crusher with the specifications below;

I. Hybrid Solar Dryer with solar air collector, drying chambers and drying trays, supplementary heating systems and photo voltaic system

1. The Republic of Uganda received credit from the International Development Association towards the cost of Uganda Reproductive Maternal and Health Services Improvement Project (URMCHIP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments under the Contract for supply and delivery Assorted Equipment for Connectivity between National Information and Registration Authority (NIRA) Headquarters and District Offices.

2. The Ministry of Health now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for Supply and Delivery of the above supplies.

3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procurement method contained in the World Bank Guidelines for procurement and the procedures described under Open Domestic Bidding procedures contained in the Government of Uganda's Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act,

2003 as amended and is open to all eligible bidders as denied in the Regulations.

4. Qualifications requirements include: The bidder shall have a financial capability evidenced by a minimum average annual turnover equivalent to twice the bid price within the last three (3) years; Experience of having performed at least 2 similar contracts in the last 5 years each with a minimum value of the bid price; and of her requirements in the bidding document.

5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address (9a) given below from 9:00a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.

6. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address below at (9a) upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 100,000 (Uganda Shillings One Hundred Thousand Only).
